LAHORE: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) is organising the 4th edition of the Canada-Pakistan Trade Expo 2017 in July in Toronto, Canada.
Several industries, including textile garment, handicrafts, leather garment, carpets and rugs, sports goods, furniture, writing equipment, cutlery, electric fans, chemicals, surgical and dental instruments, are participating in the event. Other industries include: petroleum products, onyx, marble and granite, jewellery, rice, fruits and vegetables, food and spices, seafood products, ready to eat meals, IT software and services, labour outsourcing and general products among others.
Last date for submitting applications for booking of stalls is February 2. To participate in the exhibition, an applicant must be a member of a trade association or director, CEO of any firm or company.
Maximum two representatives on one stall will be recommended for visa to the Canadian High Commission. Under the conditions, both representatives should have previously travelled to Europe, US, Canada, Japan, Australia, and United Kingdom. Previous travelling evidence is mandatory to be attached with the application form.
FPCCI Acting Secretary General Maher Alam Khan said that Canada – with a population of 36.6 million people – has had huge potential for Pakistani products. “The previous three solo exhibitions organised by FPCCI in Canada had significantly contributed to the promotion of Pakistan’s exports, and participants had very intensive interaction and networking with their Canadian counterparts and buyers.
